Pudding Base

  • 2 cups whole milk Provides creaminess and richness.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients and tools.
  • In a medium saucepan, whisk together whole milk, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Place over medium heat and stir constantly for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and unsalted butter until smooth.
  • Pour pudding into serving cups and cover with plastic wrap to prevent skin from forming. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Top each pudding cup with fresh berries before serving.
  • Serve immediately or chill longer. Optionally add whipped cream on top.
