Salmon Fillets

  • 4 6-ounce salmon fillets Fresh or thawed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Adds moisture and richness
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar Gives a sweet touch
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard Adds a tangy kick
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Brings savory depth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For hint of garlic flavor
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Adds subtle onion taste
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Gives a lovely smokiness
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Enhances flavors
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Adds heat and depth
  • 1 whole lemon, sliced For garnish
  • to taste fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Place skin-side down on a clean surface.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Brush the marinade over the salmon fillets and let marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down on the baking sheet.
  • Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes until it flakes easily with a fork.
  • Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, and garnish with lemon slices and chopped parsley before serving.
