  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup festive sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in the festive sprinkles, reserving some for topping.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle reserved sprinkles on top.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
