Base Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup whipped topping like Cool Whip
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple drained
  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • 1 cup Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Wash and slice the strawberries, chop the pecans, and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine strawberries, mini marshmallows, and pecans. Add drained crushed pineapple and fold gently.
  • In a separate bowl, mix whipped topping, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla until combined. Pour over salad base and fold gently.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 120 minutes. Fold in Rice Krispies just before serving.

Notes

Add Rice Krispies just before serving to maintain crunch.
