Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Filling

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced

Topping

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Mix well.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough begins to form.
  • Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  • In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
  • After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Spread the cheesecake filling evenly over the dough and sprinkle diced strawberries on top.
  • Starting from the long side, roll the dough into a tight log and slice into 12 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
