Fresh Peaches
- 2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar divided into two parts
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Prepare the peaches by washing, peeling, and slicing them into thin wedges. Combine with 1/2 cup sugar and lemon juice, and let sit for 10 minutes.
In a separate bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add milk, melted butter, and vanilla, stirring until just combined.
