  • 8 ounces egg noodles the perfect vehicle for flavors
  • 1 teaspoon salt enhances overall taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper adds a hint of spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika gives smokiness and color
  • 1/2 cup milk thins out the sauce
  • 1 cup frozen peas (optional) sneak in some veggies

Instructions
 

  • Prep the ingredients by chopping the onion and mincing the garlic. Measure out the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and milk.
  • In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, onion, and garlic. Cook until beef is browned and onion is soft, about 5-7.
  • While the beef is cooking, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add egg noodles and cook until al dente, about 7-9. Drain and set aside.
  • In the skillet with cooked beef, stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well until combined.
  • Transfer the beef mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Fold in the cooked egg noodles and spread evenly. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake the casserole for 25-30 until cheese is melted and bubbly. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Let the casserole rest for a few minutes after baking to help it set.
