Banana Mixture

  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar (for topping)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x5-inch loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter until well mixed. Then add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Sprinkle a layer of cinnamon sugar on top of the batter before pouring it into the loaf pan.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-65 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
