Chicken
- 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts about 1 pound
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Prepare the chicken by rinsing and patting dry. Season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté sliced mushrooms for 3-4 minutes until soft. Add heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer and add Worcestershire sauce.
Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and cheese is bubbly.
