Chicken

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts about 1 pound total
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the chicken by pounding it to an even thickness and seasoning with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil and sauté mushrooms and onions for about 5 minutes until soft.
  • Add chicken broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet, stir, and bring to a simmer.
  • Return the seasoned chicken to the skillet, spoon gravy over it, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
