Ground Beef
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 4 pieces hamburger buns
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Prepare the ingredients by dicing the onion and green bell pepper, and mincing the garlic.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
Add the diced onion and green bell pepper to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes until softened. Then add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and beef broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and mix in the shredded provolone cheese until melted. Assemble the sloppy joes by spooning the mixture onto the hamburger buns.
