Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt

Filling

  • 0.5 cup light corn syrup
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups pecans, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a medium bowl, combine flour, butter, sugar, and salt. Mix until crumbly. Press into the bottom of a greased 8x8-inch baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans.
  • Pour the pecan filling over the baked crust and spread evenly. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until the filling is set and slightly puffed.
  • Allow the bars to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes, then chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour before slicing into squares.
