  • 2 large eggs Beaten to help the breadcrumb mixture stick.
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour Used to coat the chicken before dipping in eggs.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter Base for the lemon butter sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice Adds a zesty flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional) For garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the chicken breasts by rinsing them under cold water and patting them dry. Pound the chicken to an even thickness and season with salt and pepper.
  • In a shallow bowl, combine grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and the Parmesan mixture. Coat each chicken breast in flour, then dip in eggs, and finally coat in the Parmesan mixture. Place on a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  • While the chicken is baking, melt unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat and stir in fresh lemon juice. Heat for 1-2 minutes.
  • Once the chicken is done, drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the chicken breasts and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
