  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3 bananas)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan by greasing it with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed ripe bananas and melted butter until well blended.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, and all-purpose flour.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet banana mixture and stir gently until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  • Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Cut into squares and serve.
