  • 1 cup sour cream Adds creaminess and tang.
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup Enhances richness.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Use sharp or mild.
  • 1 cup crushed buttery crackers Adds a crunchy topping.
  • 1/2 cup milk Helps to thin the mixture.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped Adds fresh flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances savory taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Adds heat and depth.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Essential for flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For greasing the baking dish.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Shred the cooked chicken and chop the green onions. Measure all ingredients.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, milk, green onions, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Combine crushed crackers with melted butter and sprinkle on top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
