- to taste pepper Essential for seasoning.
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional) Adds a delightful crunch and nutty flavor.
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional) Offers a creamy, salty finish.
Wash the Brussels sprouts under cold water, trim the ends, and cut them in half. Set aside in a large mixing bowl.
In a separate bowl, combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
Pour the glaze over the halved Brussels sprouts and toss gently until evenly coated.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the coated Brussels sprouts in a single layer. Roast for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through.
Once tender and caramelized, remove from the oven. If using, sprinkle pecans or Parmesan cheese during the last 5 minutes of roasting. Let cool before serving.
