Lemon Cake Mix

  • 2 boxes lemon cake mix 15.25-ounce each
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened 8-ounce
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 can lemon-lime soda 12-ounce
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients before you start baking.
  • Prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish by greasing it well.
  • Mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and creamy. Spread this mixture evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the lemon cake mix evenly over the cream cheese layer without stirring. Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  • Pour the lemon-lime soda over the top without stirring. If using, sprinkle fresh blueberries on top.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Bake the assembled dump cake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
