- 2 sheets puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg for egg wash
- 1 tablespoon milk for egg wash
- powdered sugar for dusting
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a floured surface to smooth out creases.
Cut diagonal strips along both long sides of each rectangle, leaving about 3 inches in the center untouched.
In a bowl, combine diced strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Mix gently and let sit for a few minutes.
