Filling Ingredients

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened This creamy base adds richness and helps bind the filling together.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Cheddar brings a sharp, tangy flavor that complements the other ingredients.
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon Bacon adds a savory crunch and a smoky taste that elevates the bites.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped Fresh green onions provide a mild onion flavor and a pop of color.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Garlic powder enhances the overall flavor, giving it a warm, aromatic touch.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper A dash of black pepper adds a subtle heat and depth to the filling.
  • 1 package (8 ounces) crescent roll dough This flaky dough wraps around the filling, creating a delightful outer layer.
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) For those who like a bit of heat.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. Add cooked bacon, chopped green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Place a tablespoon of the cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle and roll from the wide end to the tip. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Consider using low-sodium bacon or cheese to reduce sodium content. You can also prepare the filling a day in advance and store it in the fridge.
