  • 2 cups corn kernels fresh, frozen, or canned
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup honey star ingredient
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional) adds creaminess and flavor
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish, optional) adds freshness

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine corn kernels, cornmeal, milk, honey, melted butter, eggs, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
  • If using, fold in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
