- 2 cups baby carrots
- 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Wash the baby carrots and fresh green beans under cold water. Trim the ends of the green beans.
Melt the unsalted butter in a medium-sized pot over medium heat. Add honey, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add baby carrots and cook for 5 minutes. Then add green beans and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes. Drain the vegetables.
Return the drained vegetables to the pot with the honey glaze. Toss gently to coat and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve.
