  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar Adds a tangy kick.
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger Adds warmth and a hint of spice.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Enhances the overall flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) For those who enjoy a little heat.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish) Adds a nice crunch.

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the chicken wings in a mixture of honey, soy sauce, garlic, apple cider vinegar, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
  • Prepare the honey garlic sauce by simmering the reserved marinade in a saucepan for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the marinated wings in a single layer on the rack and bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Glaze the cooked wings with the thickened honey garlic sauce and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
