- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Gather all ingredients.
Dice the onion and bell pepper, and mince the garlic.
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add diced onion and bell pepper, cooking for 5 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Add ground beef to the pot, breaking it up as it cooks. Brown for 6-8 minutes until cooked through.
Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
Add crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, and beef broth. Stir until well combined.
Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 30 minutes.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot.
