  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients.
  • Dice the onion and bell pepper, and mince the garlic.
  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add diced onion and bell pepper, cooking for 5 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add ground beef to the pot, breaking it up as it cooks. Brown for 6-8 minutes until cooked through.
  • Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Add crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, and beef broth. Stir until well combined.
  • Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 30 minutes.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot.
