Ground Beef

  • 1 pound ground beef Main protein source.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped Adds sweetness and depth.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor.
  • 3 medium carrots, sliced Adds sweetness and color.
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced Adds substance.
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained Provides acidity.
  • 4 cups beef broth Essential for flavor.
  • 1 cup frozen peas Adds color and sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce Adds savory depth.
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme Earthy flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Adds warmth.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing.

Instructions
 

  • Wash and chop the vegetables. Dice the potatoes and slice the carrots. Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add ground beef and brown for 5-7 minutes.
  • Add sliced carrots, diced potatoes, diced tomatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add frozen peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot.
