Tuna Steaks

  • 1 pound fresh tuna steaks (about 4 steaks, 6 ounces each)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the tuna steaks by whisking together soy sauce, sesame oil, orange juice, lemon juice, honey, garlic, and ginger. Coat the tuna and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  • Grill the tuna steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, seasoning with salt and pepper. Add sesame seeds during the last minute of grilling.
  • Prepare a citrus sauce by boiling the leftover marinade until it thickens slightly.
  • Let the tuna rest for a few minutes before serving with the citrus sauce.
