Shrimp

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 cups broccoli florets fresh
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter divided
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice fresh
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Ensure shrimp are peeled and deveined. If using frozen shrimp, thaw them in cold water for 15-20 minutes and pat dry.
  • Rinse broccoli florets under cold water and chop into bite-sized pieces. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and broccoli florets. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp. Return shrimp to skillet, add lemon juice, and toss everything together. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.
