  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water about 110°F
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Activate the yeast by combining warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Punch down the dough, divide into 12 pieces, and shape into balls. Place in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, leaving space between each roll.
  • Cover the rolls and let rise for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Prepare the garlic butter topping by mixing melted butter, minced garlic, and garlic powder. Brush over warm rolls after baking.
