  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing onions.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances flavor.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Cook the orzo pasta according to package instructions, about 8-10 minutes, then drain.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sauté the onions for 10-12 minutes until caramelized.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine chicken, cooked orzo, caramelized onions, chicken broth, sour cream, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with Swiss cheese, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving and garnish with fresh parsley.
