Dumpling Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 packs instant ramen noodles (3 oz each)
  • 1 cup frozen dumplings (pork or chicken)
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1 piece carrot julienned
  • 2 pieces green onions sliced
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 piece soft-boiled egg optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, combine the chicken broth and water. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Add the frozen dumplings and cook according to package instructions, about 5-7 minutes.
  • In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add the instant ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions, about 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • Add the baby spinach, julienned carrot, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger to the pot with the dumplings. Stir and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Divide the cooked ramen noodles into individual bowls. Ladle the dumpling broth and vegetables over the noodles. Top with a soft-boiled egg and garnish with sliced green onions.
