Ingredients
  

Chicken Drumsticks

  • 2 pounds chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) for heat

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the chicken drumsticks under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • Trim any excess skin or fat from the drumsticks and place them in a large bowl.
  • Pour olive oil and add garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to the bowl. Mix until well coated.
  • Let the drumsticks marinate for 15-30 minutes at room temperature or longer in the fridge.
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and set up a wire rack on a baking sheet.
  • Shake off excess marinade from the drumsticks and arrange them in a single layer on the wire rack.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes for extra crispiness.
  • Let the drumsticks rest for 5 minutes before serving.
