Chicken
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (for thickening)
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Marinate the chicken with salt and pepper for about 30 minutes.
Prepare the orange sauce by combining orange juice, sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger in a saucepan and simmering.
Coat the marinated chicken in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and fry the chicken pieces for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
