Chicken

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Coat chicken pieces in flour, then eggs, and finally panko breadcrumbs.
  • Fry the chicken in batches for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  • In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water. Heat until thickened.
  • Pour the honey sauce over the fried chicken and toss to coat. Serve immediately garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
