Macaroni and Cheese Mixture

  • 2 cups cooked macaroni pasta Use your favorite pasta shape.
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese Adds rich flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Provides gooey texture.
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened Adds creaminess.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Enhances flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Adds depth of flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder Enhances taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Adds a hint of spice.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Essential for flavor.
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour For coating.
  • 2 large eggs, beaten Helps breadcrumbs stick.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred) Creates a crispy coating.
  • 1 spray cooking spray For preventing sticking.

Instructions
 

  • Cook the macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente, about 7-8 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cooked macaroni, cheddar, mozzarella, cream cheese, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into balls about 1 inch in diameter and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs. Coat each ball in flour, dip in eggs, and roll in breadcrumbs.
  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F. Spray basket with cooking spray. Arrange balls in a single layer and air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  • Remove from air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Freezing the balls for at least 30 minutes is crucial for maintaining shape during cooking.
