Crust

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs These will form the base of your cheesecake, providing a crunchy texture.

Filling

  • 1 package cream cheese, softened The star of the cheesecake, cream cheese gives it that creamy, smooth texture.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar This is used in the filling to sweeten the cheesecake.
  • 2 large eggs Eggs help set the cheesecake and give it structure.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract This adds a lovely aroma and flavor to the cheesecake.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Whipped cream is used for the topping, adding a light and airy finish.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping) This sugar will be caramelized to create the signature brûlée crust.

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the crust by mixing graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar. Press into the bottom of a springform pan.
  • Make the cheesecake filling by beating softened cream cheese until smooth, then add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the filling over the crust and bake in a preheated oven for 45-50 minutes. Leave in the oven for an additional hour to cool gradually.
  • Whip the heavy cream and spread it over the cooled cheesecake. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and caramelize the topping.
  • Allow the cheesecake to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
