- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 cup beef broth
- 8 ounces large pasta shells
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Prepare your ingredients by dicing the onion and mincing the garlic.
In a large skillet, heat over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
In a separate pot, bring water to a boil, add salt, and cook the pasta shells according to package instructions for 8-10 minutes.
Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Add diced tomatoes and beef broth, and simmer.
Stir in the cooked pasta shells, cover, and cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat to low, add heavy cream, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted.
