  • Brown the ground beef and Italian sausage in a large pot over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks.

  • Pour in the beef broth, add the undrained diced tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, and red pepper flakes if desired. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions, usually about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low, stir in the heavy cream and fresh spinach, cooking for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until the spinach wilts.
