Cottage Cheese Chicken Parmesan Bowl Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (optional for garnish)
Prepare the chicken by boiling or baking it until fully cooked, then shred it into bite-sized pieces.
In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with cottage cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Spoon the chicken and cottage cheese mixture over the marinara sauce, then pour the remaining marinara sauce on top. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
Drizzle olive oil over the cheese layer. Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
