Cinnamon Vanilla Custard Pie Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.75 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 9-inch pre-made pie crust

Instructions

  • Prepare the pie crust by pressing it into a pie dish and pricking the bottom with a fork. Blind bake at 350°F for 10 minutes if desired.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine whole milk and heavy cream. Heat over medium until warm but not boiling.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  • Slowly pour the warm milk mixture into the egg mixture while whisking constantly to prevent scrambling.
  • Pour the custard mixture into the prepared pie crust, filling it almost to the top.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 40-45 minutes until the custard is set and a knife comes out clean.
  • Let the pie cool at room temperature for at least 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
