Vegetables and Noodles
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (any color)
- 2 cups bean sprouts
- 2 cups cooked chow mein noodles
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 green onions chopped (for garnish)
Wash and slice all vegetables. Mince garlic, shred carrots, and slice bell peppers.
Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Sauté onion and garlic for 2 minutes.
Add shredded carrots and bell peppers, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until softened.
Add cooked noodles and bean sprouts, then pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Stir and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
