unbaked 9-inch pie crust
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa powder, molasses, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
Stir in the pecan halves and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust, spreading it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly puffed.
Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack for at least 2 hours before slicing.
Serve at room temperature or chilled.
Notes
The center may jiggle slightly when done; it will firm up upon cooling.
