Tater Tots

  • 2 pounds frozen tater tots Crispy topping
  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken
  • 1 small onion, diced Adds sweetness and depth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup Creamy base
  • 1 cup sour cream Adds creaminess
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Melts beautifully
  • 1 teaspoon salt Enhances flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Adds a hint of spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika Adds smokiness
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables Nutrition and color
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Adds gooey texture

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, salt, black pepper, paprika, and frozen mixed vegetables until well combined and heated through.
  • Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Layer the tater tots on top of the beef mixture in a single, even layer.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes until melted and bubbly.
  • Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
