- 2 cups uncooked pasta penne or rotini work best
- 24 ounces marinara sauce for that rich, tomato flavor
- 2 cups water to help cook the pasta
- 1 pound frozen meatballs beef or turkey, your choice
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese for that gooey, cheesy topping
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning to enhance the flavor
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder for a hint of garlic goodness
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Combine the uncooked pasta, marinara sauce, and water in a large baking dish. Stir well.
Add the frozen meatballs on top of the pasta mixture and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil, stir gently, and top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let the casserole sit for 5 minutes before serving.
