Ingredients

Elbow Macaroni

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook until al dente, about 7-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat a splash of oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, beef mixture, 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, milk, and eggs. Stir until well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread evenly and top with remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, and grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the top is golden brown. Let cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
