Ingredients

Diced cooked ham

  • 2 cups diced cooked ham
  • 4 cups diced potatoes (about 4 medium potatoes)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (optional for topping)

Instructions

  • Wash and peel the potatoes, then dice them into small cubes. Chop the cooked ham into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced ham, potatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese. Pour in the milk and sour cream, then add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. If using breadcrumbs, melt the butter and mix it with the breadcrumbs, then sprinkle over the top.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let the casserole cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
