  • 1 pound ground beef This is the star of the dish, providing a hearty base.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix This adds the classic taco flavor that everyone loves.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For that gooey, cheesy goodness.
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes Freshness and moisture to the filling.
  • 1/2 cup diced onion Adds a nice crunch and flavor.
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives A tasty addition for olive lovers.
  • 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough This forms the beautiful ring.
  • 1 egg beaten egg For egg wash to give the taco ring a golden finish.
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro For garnish, adds a pop of color and freshness.
  • sour cream For serving, a creamy dip that complements the flavors.

Instructions
 

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat. Stir in taco seasoning mix, diced tomatoes, diced onion, and black olives. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Unroll the refrigerated crescent roll dough and separate into triangles. Arrange triangles in a circle on a large baking sheet, overlapping wide ends and letting pointed ends hang over the edge.
  • Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the wide ends of the crescent triangles. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Fold pointed ends of the crescent triangles over the filling and tuck under the wide ends. Brush the top with beaten egg.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
