Ground Beef

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, breaking it into smaller pieces. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  • Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic in the same pot for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  • Add beef broth, diced potatoes, carrots, and celery. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  • Stir in the cooked ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, and sour cream. Mix until cheese melts and soup is creamy, about 5 minutes.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
