Ingredients

Apple Filling

  • 2 cups diced apples about 2 medium apples
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 package (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  • Prepare the apple filling by washing, peeling, and dicing the apples. Combine diced apples with lemon juice, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and granulated sugar in a medium bowl.
  • If making your own caramel sauce, combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat until dissolved, then boil until golden brown. Remove from heat and add cream and butter, stirring until smooth.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture on the wide end, drizzle with caramel sauce, and sprinkle with pecans. Roll up tightly and pinch edges to seal.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place bombs seam-side down, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle with coarse sugar. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
