Puff Pastry
- 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
- 1 cup mixed berries fresh or frozen
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg beaten egg for egg wash
- powdered sugar for dusting
Thaw the puff pastry for about 30 minutes, then roll it out to 1/8 inch thickness and cut into 1-inch wide strips.
In a medium bowl, combine mixed berries, sugar, and vanilla extract. Gently mash the berries.
Take a pastry strip, place a spoonful of berry mixture in the center, fold over, and twist the ends to seal.
Preheat oven to 400°F, place twists on a baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
