  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder This helps the bars rise and become fluffy.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt A pinch of salt balances the sweetness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon This spice adds warmth and a hint of spice.
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional) For a sweet treat, fold in some chocolate chips!
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional) Add some crunch with your favorite nuts, like walnuts or pecans.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Stir until well mixed.
  • In another bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Add the almond butter, honey, and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until well combined. Fold in chocolate chips or chopped nuts if desired.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
