Rolled Oats

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 ripe bananas mashed bananas
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients in one place.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
  • Mash the ripe bananas in a separate bowl until smooth.
  • Pour the mashed bananas into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Add the milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir until fully combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x9 inch baking dish and spread evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 30-35 minutes.
  • Let the oatmeal cool for a few minutes, then slice into squares and serve warm.
